I loved when the powder took on a recognizable shape, it was rare and of course not at all under our control.
I wish I could say I had planned this one but it just sort of happened. I was lucky enough to see it the shape of the wings one time when the model was folding her arms. So we repeated the move - it took about 50 more takes before we got it right in camera.
This was an idea I had when going into the shoot. It turned out to be way more difficult than I had initially planned but I think it was worth all the effort.
The reading with blindfold is from an idea I borrowed from a photography student I met in Venezuela many years ago. I loved the concept and the potential metaphors.
This was a very difficult image to capture due to the short duration of the jump, but definitely one of my favs. I had not thought of this but a friend when first seeing it titled it "the Coke Fairy"
